A welcome return to Waterford by one of the worlds best Brass ensembles.
The Black Dyke Band is probably one of the most famous and most recognised names in the world of brass. They have a long and successful history: founded in 1833, during the past 180 years they have made over 350 recordings, been British Open champions 30 times and European champions 23 times – the most recent being 2015. With that sort of pedigree, you know that you’re in for a wonderful display of brass playing.
Following on from their successful visit to Waterford in 2014 this world class Brass Band from England make a welcome return visit to Waterford, presented by Symphony Club of Waterford and Garter Lane Arts Centre. Under the musical direction of Dr. Nicholas Childs DMA, MA, FLCM, ACRM (Hons) the Black Dyke will perform a programme of popular Brass Band repertoire and feature some of their stunning instrumental soloists here at the WIT Arena this weekend.
